The overarching role of the board is to ensure the CCG has appropriate arranges in place to exercise its functions effectively, efficiently and economically and in accordance with the generally accepted principles of good governance and the constitution of the CCG.

The Board meets six times a year and is responsible for ensuring MK CCG’s strategy is being delivered.

NHS Milton Keynes has responsibility for planning and buying the majority of health services for local people.

GP members have been elected to the CCG board and the CCG group’s chair is Dr Nicola Smith.
