The Milton Keynes Urgent Care telephone number is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The service makes it easier for the public to access healthcare services when they need medical help fast, but it’s not a life-threatening situation.
Dr Nicola Smith, GP lead for urgent care for Milton Keynes, said: “As part of our ongoing Choose well campaign to encourage appropriate use of local NHS services and help patients, we are launching this number as a one stop shop for urgent health advice and support.
“The number is for when you need urgent advice and treatment for illness, infections and injuries.
“The number also covers the GP Out of Hours Service for Milton Keynes should you need advice or a GP appointment outside of surgery opening hours.
“You can also contact the Urgent Care Centre via the number and to ensure you don’t make an unnecessary journey to the centre, please call the Urgent Care number in the first instance.”
You can call the Urgent Care Service on 01908 201022
In emergencies such as heavy blood loss, chest pains, loss of consciousness or broken bones, always call 999. However, when it’s not an emergency, the Urgent Care helpline is always there.
